...That's generally what people called "trying to cheat" ie. Try to figure out ways to bend the meaning of the rules for your own benefits.
GM is here to explain and judge what rules are when the creator of the game himself ain't around. You can of course have GMs so bad they should just stop for the benefit of mankind, but still part of a perfectly normal and fine GM's duty is to exactly stop certain players from pulling craps like this. (And its more common than you'd think)
Well, now that you know the crap you're pulling (the method and logic of which had already been explained by so many others above), hopefully next time you can learn to read properly... Hopefully?
