原先都是PC,最近开始学做DM,在看怪物的时候发现了这样一个问题:比如说一只青年龙的DR是25/魔法,然后给它套上了完美模版,完美模版是“获得10/传奇的DR,或者沿用原本的DR,看哪个更好。”
——但是25/魔法和10/传奇到底哪个更好呢?从数值上来说倒是前者更高呢……假如这龙被非魔法武器击中造成了20点伤害,如果DR是前者,就可以完全吸收,如果是后者,还要受到10点伤害,那岂不是后者还不如前者了么……

然后接着翻,就发现了另一个问题:假如某人修了传奇专长自动法术瞬发,瞬发0-3级法术,那么他用6级位准备一个极效火球术的时候,放出来的,究竟是普通的极效火球,还是瞬发的极效火球呢?

基础规则...好坏自行判断
伤害减免(Damage Reduction,特异能力或超自然能力):具有这种特殊性质的生物能够减免由大多数武器和天生武器造成的伤害。伤口立即愈合,或者武器未造成伤害便弹开(不管是哪一种,对手都会发现攻击无效)。该生物在被能量攻击(包括非魔法的)、法术、类法术能力、以及超自然能力攻击时仍受到正常伤害。某些特定的武器有时也可以造成正常伤害,见如下说明。
在怪物的说明中会给出减免伤害的数量(通常为5到15点)以及不被伤害减免影响的武器种类。
某些怪物的弱点是惧怕穿刺、钝击或挥砍伤害。
某些怪物的弱点是惧怕一些特殊材料,比如炼银(alchemical silver)、精金(adamantine)、或寒铁(cold-forged iron)。由不合适的材料制造的武器做出的攻击都会受到伤害减免,即便该武器有增强加值。
某些怪物的弱点是惧怕魔法武器。任何在攻击和伤害上具有+1以上魔法增强加值的武器都可以克服这些怪物的伤害减免。这些生物的天生武器(而不是他们持有的武器)在克服伤害减免时被视为魔法武器。
极少数非常强大的怪物仅仅惧怕传奇武器;即,增强加值在+6以上的魔法武器。这些生物的天生武器在克服伤害减免时也被视为是传奇武器。
某些怪物的弱点是惧怕混乱、邪恶、善良、或守序阵营的武器。牧师施展阵营武器法术(align weapon)时,被影响的武器会获得一个或更多这类属性,而某些魔法武器本身也具有这类属性。一个具有阵营亚种(混乱、邪恶、善良或守序亚种)的生物在克服伤害减免时,它的天生武器或持用武器视作具有和它阵营亚种相匹配的武器。
如果在伤害减免说明中的斜线之后是一短横(-),则没有武器可以克服此伤害减免。
一些生物会受到不止一种武器的伤害。其中任意一种武器都可以克服伤害减免。
一些生物需要两种不同攻击的组合来克服伤害减免。这时武器必须同时具有这两种属性来克服伤害减免。仅有其中一种属性的武器仍然会受到伤害减免。

如果对于某次攻击两个DR都有效,那么用较好的那个;如果对于某次攻击只能有1个DR有效,就用剩下的那个。
以这个例子来说,对于非魔法物理伤害,你的两个DR都能起作用,于是低于25点的伤害都会被忽略;对于非传奇魔法武器造成的物理伤害,只有Paragon模板提供的10/epic能起作用。

这两个DR是同时存在的,而不是其中一个被另一个取代。

话说都上了完美模板了,不至于还会被非魔法武器打吧..还是喘气DR比较靠谱..

Special Qualities: A paragon creature retains all the special qualities of the base creature and also gains the following.
• Fire and cold resistance 10. If the creature already possesses such resistance, use whichever is better.
• Damage reduction 10/epic. If the creature already possesses Damage reduction, use whichever is better.
• Spell resistance equal to the paragon creature's CR +25. If the creature already possesses spell resistance, use whichever is higher.
• Fast healing 20. If the creature already possesses fast healing, use whichever is better.

25/Magic太弱等了……是个PC就能破……
不过如果有大量弱小的NPC作陪衬的话选25/Magic也不错

3级法术超了魔依然是3级法术呢,所以才有强极火球/热线WAND的存在
法术上超魔专长的效果:在所有方面,超魔法术视为其原来的法术等级,即使它作为一个更高等级的法术而被准备及施展。豁免调整值不会改变除非在专长描述中另有说明。

因为没有区分 spell level 和 slot level,所以就乱了。

WANDS
A wand is a thin baton that contains a single spell of 4th level or lower. Each wand has 50 charges when created, and each charge expended allows the user to use the wand’s spell one time. A wand that runs out of charges is just a stick.
Physical Description: A typical wand is 6 inches to 12 inches long and about 1/4 inch thick, and often weighs no more than 1 ounce. Most wands are wood, but some are bone. A rare few are metal, glass, or even ceramic, but these are quite exotic. Occasionally, a wand has a gem or some device at its tip, and most are decorated with carvings or runes. A typical wand has AC 7, 5 hit points, hardness 5, and a break DC of 16.
Activation: Wands use the spell trigger activation method, so casting a spell from a wand is usually a standard action that doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity. (If the spell being cast, however, has a longer casting time than 1 action, it takes that long to cast the spell from a wand.) To activate a wand, a character must hold it in hand (or whatever passes for a hand, for nonhumanoid creatures) and point it in the general direction of the target or area. A wand may be used while grappling or while swallowed whole.
Special Qualities: Roll d%. A 01–30 result indicates that something (a design, inscription, or the like) provides some clue to the wand’s function, and 31–100 indicates no special qualities.

Effects of Metamagic Feats on a Spell: In all ways, a metamagic spell operates at its original spell level, even though it is prepared and cast as a higher-level spell. Saving throw modifications are not changed unless stated otherwise in the feat description.
The modifications made by these feats only apply to spells cast directly by the feat user. A spellcaster can’t use a metamagic feat to alter a spell being cast from a wand, scroll, or other device.
Metamagic feats that eliminate components of a spell don’t eliminate the attack of opportunity provoked by casting a spell while threatened. However, casting a spell modified by Quicken Spell does not provoke an attack of opportunity.
Metamagic feats cannot be used with all spells. See the specific feat descriptions for the spells that a particular feat can’t modify.

MAXIMIZE SPELL [METAMAGIC]
Benefit: All variable, numeric effects of a spell modified by this feat are maximized. Saving throws and opposed rolls are not affected, nor are spells without random variables. A maximized spell uses up a spell slot three levels higher than the spell’s actual level.
An empowered, maximized spell gains the separate benefits of each feat: the maximum result plus one-half the normally rolled result.

Q: Can you use a metamagic feat when creating items?
A: Yes; calculate the magic item’s price using the new spell level (as adjusted by the metamagic feat).
A wand of maximized cure light wounds, for example, would cost 21,000 gp (spell level 4 times caster level 7 times 750 gp). You couldn’t make a wand of maximized cure moderate wounds, because that’s a 5th-level spell, which is beyond the spell level limit of a wand.
If you’re not using the spell’s level to calculate the price, remember to estimate the price using the improved potency of the effect for comparison (rather than using the non-metamagic version of the spell).

其實應該是一直都這樣設計的, 不過沒有寫清楚... DM 稍微有點經驗的話應該都會作出正確的判斷吧...

法术升阶(HEIGHTEN SPELL)[超魔专长]
效果:搭配本专长时,法术等级比原本等级要高(不可超过9级)。与其他超魔专长不同,法术升阶可以确实提升法术等级。法术效果中所有与法术等级有关的变数(如:豁免检定DC和穿透次级法术无效结界(lesser globe of invulnerability)的能力),都以升阶后的法术等级计算。升阶法术的准备方式视同提升后的法术等级。
HEIGHTEN SPELL [METAMAGIC]
Benefit: A heightened spell has a higher spell level than normal (up to a maximum of 9th level). Unlike other metamagic feats, Heighten Spell actually increases the effective level of the spell that it modifies. All effects dependent on spell level (such as saving throw DCs and ability to penetrate a lesser globe of invulnerability) are calculated according to the heightened level. The heightened spell is as difficult to prepare and cast as a spell of its effective level.

我的问题是一个学了“自动法术瞬发”的传奇法师,再搭配其他超魔专长的时候会怎样……
显然没有跑题吧,在讨论的就是法术等级和法术位等级的区别和联系么
"自动法术瞬发"指的并不是瞬发0-3级法术,而是0-3级法术位上的法术
所有超魔及类超魔都只针对"法术位等级"而不针对"法术等级"吧
升阶例外

现在自动瞬发法术选一次只能升1级而不是3级..........

这样如果我有arcane thesis和metamagic school focus的话,是不是可以不提升任何价格做某个强效法术的wand...

我是觉得,一个pc如果学了那么多专长,还学了造棍子的话,应该也要给点奖励吧...总是要满足一下玩家的成就感让人家爽一下....

但如果选的法术比较妖孽的话,就不够热血了……

當這種事發生的時候, 限三級的棒棒能有多大作為... 最少也得做法杖...

低级法术实用性比较高吧,链式触及强极双发治疗轻伤棍子做一捆人手一根...
而高级法术就太贵了呀,就算做棒棒也做不了几根...一般都是拿自己法术位来爽吧...
